Verona Evans was born and raised in a small farming community in Colorado, where she grew up alongside ten siblings. Her early experiences instilled in her a diligent work ethic that has carried through every part of her life.
Ms. Evans values time spent with her children and grandchildren above all else. It is often in these quiet, joyful moments that her stories begin to take shape.
She possesses a passion for writing, crafting, and quilting, while also appreciating outdoor activities and a love of travel. Verona currently makes her home in North Carolina, where she often visits the beach and takes advantage of travel opportunities as they arise.
Her debut work, Christmas Magic in the Hills of Virginia, was published in 2023. The Secret of Larkin Lake, the first adventure in the Darby Duck and Friends series, followed in 2026, a story born from her love of family, nature, and gentle life lessons.
